MG Motor India has teamed up with BatX Energies to launch an off-grid solar electric vehicle charging station. The auto giant claims that the new charging station is India’s first ever off-grid solar EV station, and it is powered by MG Motor’s EV batteries. BatX Energies is a startup company based out of India; it was established in 2020. BatX Energies is the first brand to provide solar power off-grid to charge EVs. The charging station is now in the industrialization phase and is intended to provide a sustainable alternative to old techniques. These charging stations do not have to rely on external electricity sources as they can operate independently. The charging stations will be used to charge both two- and four-wheelers.
BatX Energies has developed a second-life battery storage system that is backed by Delhi Research Implementation and Innovation and is going to provide second life to the second-hand batteries of MG cars. Several service providers, including Delta Electronics, Tata Power, and Fortum, supply charging infrastructure for MG Motor's electric vehicles. The newest one is BatX Energies.
