New BMW 530i Sport launched in India with a price of Rs 55.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, translated in English as Bavarian Motor Works, commonly referred to as BMW, is watching the fast-growing Indian Automobile sector with rapt attention. Launch of 530i Sport is a reflection of BMW’s focus on capturing the lead in the luxury sedan segment in India. Priced at Rs 55.40 lakh (Ex-Showroom), BMW 530i Sport will be manufactured in India at the company's plant in Chennai. 

BMW 530i Sport will be powered by a BS6-compliant, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which is the same as the M Sport. It generates a maximum power output of 252 bhp @ 5,200rpm and 350 Nm of peak torque @ 1,450-4,800 rpm that is transmitted to the rear wheels through an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The 530i Sport comes with five driving modes – Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport, Sport+ and Adaptive. BMW’s focus on safety is visible in this premium sedan as it features 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, brake control, dynamic stability & contraction control with side-impact protection. Three-point seat belts and ISOFIX child seat mounts give added protection to the passengers. The 530i accelerates from 0-100 in just 6.1 seconds showcasing its might in peformance. 

The new BMW 530i Sport is available in exciting metallic paint jobs: Mineral White, Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue, and Bluestone Metallic.  Upholstery fabric comprises of Sensatec as standard while the cabin caters to Canberra Beige and Black interior. Innovation has been a key part of BMW stable of vehicles and 530i sport doesn’t disappoint at all with hi-tech features such as BMW display key allowing the driver to stay in touch with the vehicle. BMW Gesture Control recognizes six pre-defined hand movements while parking and maneuvering are simply easy with the help of Parking Assistant with a Rear View Camera and Park Distance Control (PDC). It comes equipped with trademark BMW ConnectedDrive systems to give a sheer driving pleasure to the user with features like BMW Virtual Assistant, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, with the 12.3 inch fully digital instrument display, BMW iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition, 10.25 inch touchscreen with 3D maps enabled navigation, 12 loudspeakers with 205 Watts HiFi Loudspeaker System, Wireless Apple CarPlay, connectivity through Bluetooth and USB.

Additional sports package on this BMW includes numerous sleek elements like the kidney grille that features chrome surrounds followed by high-gloss black finished slats. Chrome touches can also be found on the front and rear bumper.
