Automobili Pininfarina has released performance details ahead of the car’s showing at Pebble Beach.
The carmaker says the PF0 will be capable of hitting 100kph in "less than two seconds" and go on to crack the 300kph barrier.
The PF0 is the first production car solely branded as Pininfarina from the renowned Italian design house. The company will only make a maximum of 150 examples and it will be the first of several all-electric models in Automobili Pininfarina's product plan.
The company also showed sketches of the PF0's interior, showing a minimalist and driver-focused layout for the two-seater.
The company will get an initial investment of around Rs 700 crore from Mahindra to fund the creation of its model range. “Establishing Automobili Pininfarina as a leading sustainable luxury brand is our strategic vision and will be a dream come true," said Automobili Pininfarina CEO, Michael Perschke. "It will combine 88 years of iconic design heritage with leading-edge electric vehicle competence of the Mahindra group and Mahindra Formula E racing. It’s a powerful combination."
