Tata Tiago XTO variant is positioned below the XT trim in the product lineup

Tata Motors has silently introduced a new variant, XTO in its Tiago lineup. This new variant is priced at Rs 5.47 lakhs (ex-showroom) and is positioned below the XT trim. It is around Rs 48,000 more expensive than the entry-level XE variant and Rs 15,000 cheaper than the XT variant of the hatchback.

Cosmetically, the new Tata Tiago XTO trim gets all the design bits present on the base variant XE. In addition, it also features body coloured door handles, body-colored ORVM, and LED turn indicator on ORVM. Talking about the features, the new XTO trim offers a 4-speaker audio system and steering mounted phone & audio controls. However, it does miss out on a few key features such as Bluetooth connectivity, speed-dependent volume control, Harman music system, phone book access, Juke car app, Tata smart manual, audio streaming, Tata service connect, and USB along with AM/FM. The rest of the features are similar to the ones present on the XT trim of the Tiago hatchback.

Moving on to the safety features, the Tiago XTO comes equipped with driver & co-driver airbags, seat belt with pre-tensioners & load limiters, ABS with EBD & corner stability control, rear park assist sensor, speed-dependent auto door locks, follow-me-home lamps, day & night IRVM, driver & passenger seat belt reminder, and Overspeed alert.

Under the bonnet, the Tiago XTO is powered by a Revtron 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that churns out a maximum power of 85 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 rpm. The engine can be further availed with a 5-speed manual gearbox only.

Tata Tiago was first launched in 2016. Besides the newly launched XTO variant, the Tiago hatchback is offered in seven other trims namely XE, XT, XTA, XZ, XZ+, XZA, and XZA+. It is further sold in a total of five color options - Flame Red, Arizona Blue, Pearlescent White, Daytona Grey, and Pure Silver. The homegrown automaker is gearing up to launch the Tata HBX concept-based micro-SUV later this year.
