Tata Tigor and Tiago to be India’s First CNG AMT Cars; Launch Forthcoming

Tata Motors has again presumably set the course for Tigor and Tiago to be the country's first CNT AMT cars.

Tata Motors amidst ultra-boom in the automobile industry constantly has been impressing everyone with its newest launches and technological advancements in the last few years. The most recent one from it is turning out to be the very first CNG AMT cars in the model of Tigor CNG AMT and Tiago CNG AMT. The auto giant from the country has already strongly hinted towards the CNG AMT variants of both Tigor and Tata on its official social media profile. The OEM of the firm also suggested that both the CNG AMT cars are going to launch soon in the Indian market. 

The CNG versions of Tigor and Tiago models are now offered with manual transmission models and can easily run on both CNG and petrol fuel options. The launch of CNG versions and the ability of smoothly running on both CNG and petrol fuel types have definitely boosted the look and feel of these models. As of now, the introduction of the AMT to both Tigor CNG and Tiago CNG will further boost the overall look and feel of the model. Along with it, this is going to crack past the barrier in the Indian passenger car market, where the auto manufacturers have yet not brought this technology so far considering the perception that AMT and CNG don’t support each other well.

The Tata Tigor and Tiago car models have been subservient in surging the carmaker’s sales volumes in the Indian PV market over the past few years. Amidst surging fuel costs, Tata Motors tried to hike the look and feel of these two models by bringing in the CNG technology. The Tiago CNG is currently priced between INR 6.5 Lakh and INR 8.10 Lakh (ex-showroom) offered in 7 distinct variants. Whereas, the Tata Tigor CNG is priced between INR 7.80 Lakh and INR 8.95 Lakh (ex-showroom) offered in 4 different variants. 

The auto giant has yet not unveiled much information other than teasing the forthcoming CNG AMT versions of the Tigor and Tiago. Furthermore, it is anticipated that these models under CNG AMT variants will equip exact same specifications, considering the powertrain would remain exactly similar to its CNG manual transmission models. Alongside, the introduction of CNG AMT to Tigor and Tiago would bloomingly make the way for the Altroz CNG to acquire the same technology as well, which is a different model of Tata that comes equipped with petrol-CNG bi-fuel technology.
