Triumph India has rolled out two new Storm variants, the Rocket 3 Storm R and Rocket 3 GT, in the Indian market. The company recently unveiled the latest motorcycles in the global market, and now it has listed the new models on its Indian website. The Rocket 3 Storm R is available at a price of INR 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the GT version is priced at INR 22.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The new bikes are INR 2.09 lakh more expensive than the standard versions. The new Storm versions come with cosmetic updates, and the two-wheeler giant has also enhanced the engine output.

The Rocket 3 Storm R and GT come with blacked-out elements, and the automaker will offer the bikes in three color options: Sapphire Black with Granite, Satin Pacific Blue with Matt Sapphire Black, and Carnival Red with Sapphire Black. The engine gets a performance bump over the previous models. In the models, the exhaust headers are hydroformed, and the intake cover is blacked-out. The motorcycles feature black anodized back frame forging, fork lowers and yokes, an RSU Rocker, a swingarm guard, risers and handlebar clamps, footrests and hangers for riders, and a seat finisher.

Powering the Rocket 3 Storm versions is the same liquid-cooled, 2,458-cc, 3-cylinder engine. The unit’s power output has now increased to 180 bhp at 7,000 rpm from 165 bhp. The torque output has also been increased, which now stands at an astounding 221 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, and the company is also providing a quickshifter as an option.

Despite their robust performance, the Rocket 3 Storm versions are designed with accessibility and rider comfort in mind. The R variant has a seat height of 773 mm, whereas the GT model has an even lower seat height of 750 mm, providing a comfortable riding position for riders. The Triumph Rocket 3 has a 16-inch wheel at the rear and a 17-inch wheel up front. Triumph has also updated the design, and the new versions now have ten spokes. The wheels are made of aluminum, which has reduced the weight of the bikes.

The Rocket 3 Storm R and Rocket 3 GT come loaded with updated features like a TFT screen, cornering ABS, four riding modes, traction control, hill hold control, all LED lighting with a daytime running lamp, cruise control, backlit switches, and keyless ignition. Triumph is also providing a USB port on motorcycles to charge mobile devices. The GT version also has heated grips. The brand offers a Bluetooth connectivity module accessory and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
