TVS Apache RTR 180 Price Increased by Rs 2500 for the Second Time

TVS Apache RTR 180 got its BS6 update and the first price hike in March this year

TVS Motor Company has hiked the price of its entire RTR line-up. The Apache RTR 180 received its first price hike along with a BS6 engine update in March this year. The company launched the motorcycle at Rs 1.01 lakhs (ex-showroom). This is the second time that the RTR 180 has recieved a price hike of Rs 2,500 that takes its (ex-showroom) price up to Rs 1.03 lakh.

Cosmetically, the BS6 Apache RTR 180 retains most of the design from its BS4 counterpart. It gets 'frown-shaped' LED DRLs, a muscular-looking fuel tank, and a sculpted tail section. Other highlighted features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, racing graphics, single-piece seat, split pillion grab rail, and alloy wheels. The motorcycle also comes with Glide Through feature that allows the two-wheeler to crawl at extremely low speeds. The bike retains the four color options namely Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black, and T Grey.

Under the frame, it is powered by a revised 177.4cc single-cylinder engine that churns out 16.62 bhp of power and 15.5 Nm of peak torque. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. This BS6 mill comes equipped with the company's Race-Tuned Fuel-Injection (Rt-Fi) system. Its main objective is to maintain the optimum operating temperature of the powerhouse.Suspension duties are taken care by telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock towards the rear. In terms of brakes, the motorcycle gets a 270mm petal disc at the front and a 200 mm petal disc brake at the rear. A single-channel Super-Moto ABS is offered as a standard with this two-wheeler.
