Volkswagen recalls Polo, Vento and Jetta

Volkswagen has recalled the Polo, Vento and Jetta for updates and O-ring replacement in India.

Volkswagen India has issued a recall for the Vento 1.5-litre and Polo GT 1.5-litre both manual transmission for certain updates that are not disclosed officially. The Jetta 1.4 TSI is recalled for replacing O-rings in carbon canister. The procedure of updates will take around 30 minutes at Volkswagen service centres.

The replacement and updates will be done free of cost by the German carmaker. Cars affected by the recall include Vento 1.5-litre diesel manufactured between 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016 and Polo GT 1.5 diesel manufactured between 1s April 2016 to 31s March 2017 and Jetta 1.4 TSI produced in 2016.

The owners of the VW cars affected can check if their car is on list by entering their VIN numbers at Volkswagen India's website. The customers can also get in touch with Volkswagen Customer care at 18001020909 or 18002090909.
